We are always open to new ideas but these are the main areas of work we want to focus on over the next twelve months:

Personalisation – we have in-depth knowledge of the world of social care and are keen to take our ‘Personalisation Made in’ approach to different local authority areas.

Empty Homes – we have good links with organisations that can refurbish empty social housing properties and want to help to do more of this work. We’re looking for investors, property experts and for contacts in ALMOs and RSLs who want to partner up with us.

Collaborative Consumption – we’re excited by the idea of network-based sharing and how we can help people to develop business models based on sharing stuff, not owning stuff. We like how sharing can be green and build community. We’re putting on an event in Leeds in September, Please visit our events page for more info.

Social investment and venture philanthropy – we want to team up with investors who would like a social and financial return on their investment. We would help to find investment opportunities, and aid in managing risk by supporting the social businesses invested in.

Social franchising – we think there’s a lot we can learn from franchising, but it will need a bit of a tweak for the world of social business. We’d like to find partners (in particular social investors) who can help us to support social businesses that want to explore growth through franchising or other similar methods.
